Vampyre Tales

I got a writing assignment to write a vampire novel for teenagers. I actually refused at first, but it turned out that I need the money so I said 'yes'. It was a collaboration, the other writer is supposed to give the skeleton of the story and I fill up the remaining stuff. Here's the problem. I'm not fond of vampire fiction. I used to when I was younger but it was only limited to Dracula by Stroker. The only vampire movie I have loved to watched, okay there's two, are Interview with a Vampire and 30 Days of Night...the other vampire movies...not really a fan of them but I find them okay. You see, I'm more of a zombie fan so the idea of vampires don't really charm me.

The second problem: my co-writer is so busy and I need more details. So I guess, I have to assume personal traits and age and other character details. This can get tiring, since I have to write the dialogues basing on the characters, right?
